1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, SDKs, and scripts that store or read information from your browser.

Some technologies are necessary for CutterForge to work. Others, such as analytics, are optional and are only used if you give consent.

2. Our Consent Model

CutterForge uses essential technologies by default because they are needed for authentication, account security, payment flow support, saved projects, and cookie preference storage.

Analytics is off by default. Google Analytics and PostHog are loaded or activated only after you consent to analytics. You can refuse analytics and still use the core service.

Consent is stored in your browser under cutterforge_consent. If you clear browser storage, use another browser, or use another device, we may ask for your choice again.

3. Essential Technologies

Essential technologies are required to provide the service you request and do not require consent. We use them to:

  • Keep you signed in and protect your session
  • Remember your cookie preferences
  • Secure account, checkout, and project actions
  • Prevent abuse, rate-limit requests, and debug service errors
  • Store temporary editor state and saved project data

4. Analytics Technologies

If you consent to analytics, we may use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand how visitors and account holders use CutterForge, which features are working, which pages need improvement, and whether marketing campaigns are effective.

Consent required

We do not intentionally load analytics scripts or start analytics capture before you consent. If you later withdraw consent, we stop future analytics capture where the tools support it.

Analytics data may include page URLs, device and browser information, approximate location, referrer, events such as sign-up or checkout starts, and account identifiers when you are signed in and analytics consent is active.

5. Manage Preferences

You can accept analytics, decline analytics, or change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent should be as easy as giving it.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. If you block essential cookies or local storage, core CutterForge features such as sign-in, settings, saved projects, and checkout may not work correctly.

If analytics cookies were already placed before you withdrew consent, your browser may keep those files until they expire or until you delete them. We stop future analytics capture after withdrawal where supported by the provider.

6. Cookie Details

This table describes the technologies we expect CutterForge to use. Before public launch, this table should be checked against a production browser audit and updated with the exact cookie names observed in production.

7. Third-Party Services

Some third-party services set their own cookies or similar technologies when you interact with them, such as Google sign-in or Mollie checkout. Those providers are responsible for their own cookie and privacy practices on their own domains.

Our use of analytics providers is explained further in the Privacy Policy.

8. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, remove, or change cookies, analytics, providers, or consent controls. If a change affects your consent choice, we may ask you to make a new choice.
